The Oneida County Historical Society is looking for volunteers to fill the below positions:
Research Library Assistant – the History Center is looking for volunteers to staff their research library Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons. The primary responsibility of the volunteer is to answer the phone, greet visitors, and assist visitors wishing to do research. Basic computer skills, or a willingness to learn preferred. Those with an interest and the capability are welcome to help with collections management. You can volunteer for one day a week or all three.
Digital Collections Assistance – the History Center is seeking a detail-oriented volunteer to assist with digital collections management. The volunteer will primairly assist the Digital Archivist with digital file organization and renaming. Basic computer skills are necessary.
Photo Assistant – the History Center is home to over 30,000 images and they need help identifying many of their photos. Join them as a photo detective and help solce their historical mysteries. Those with a knowledge of the local area are strongly encouraged to inquire! Basic computer skills preferred but not required.
