The ReStore is looking for volunteers to help with the following:
ReStore Truck Driver – responsibilities include the pick-up of merchandise from donors, safely packing the merchandise in the ReStore truck and trailer, retruning to ReStore and unpacking merchandise and the ability to decipher a good donation vs. items they cannot take. You must have a valid driver’s license and clea driving record, a CDL license is NOT required, subject to background check and drug testing, must be able to lift 50 lvs. and stand for long periods of time.
Donations Loader & Unloader – loand and unload donated materials, screen for product usability, safely pack the merchandise in the truck/trailer, unpack merchandise at the ReStore. Comunicating with the manager about incoming odnations, maintain an effective working relationship with ReStore staff, volunteers, Habitat homeowners, and customers. Perform daily cleaning of ReStore drive-thru. You must have a vaild driver’s license, a CDL license is NOT required, subject to background check and drug testing, must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
Donations Coordinator – help with handling all incoming phone calls, make confirmation calls, conduct donor surveys, and enter informatin in Excel. You must be comfortable talking on the phone, plenty of training will be provided, this position requires at least one 4 hour shift per week within the hours of Tuesday-Saturday from 9am-5pm.
Donation Procurement – assist in reaching out to local businesses, individuals, and the community seeking good quality donations. Duties include engaging the existing donor base, cultivating new donor relationships, and ultimatley increasing ReStore profitability.
Cashier – you should like to interact with people throughout the day and feel comforatble running a cash register. Experience running a register is not required, just a desire to learn!
Merchandise Associate – work with the managers, staff, and volunteers to manage sections of the store, keep donations moving through their stock room, and price donated items. You can also help keep store sections stocked and tidy, assist with customer service by serving as a resource to shoppers on the sales floor.
